Here's a bit of a 'different' card - made for my mum's birthday. There's a few more pictures and details about how I made it etc, on the new blog. I've added a permanent link to the new blog in the top right hand corner as I can't seem to add links in the text of a post.

A couple of new cards and a move

A friend asked me to make a card for her sister who is turning 15 … but she doesn’t like pink :0 … oh dear! I struggle not using pink!!! Anyway, here it is - I hope she likes it. This card uses my favourite double sided patterend paper from the new catalogue - it’s called Washington Apple and it goes wonderfully with the new SU! in colours & is great for female and male themed cards.


Card recipe:
Card stock: Tangerine Tango, Old Olive
Stamps: None!!
Accessories: Tangerine Tango striped grosgrain ribbon, Rhinestone brads, Flower Fusions, Washington Apple patterened paper
Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder

Some more samples and Card Classes coming up

I'm running a card class at my place coming up on the 2nd May. A Stamp-A-Stack class, which is a class where you get to make a stack of cards (9 to be exact ;) )with matching envelopes. The class costs $25, which includes everything except adhesive.

All the hard work will be done for you - I design 3 different cards, cut all the card stock and will help you step by step. All you have to do is stamp and put together!

This month I'm doing thank you cards. So you'll end up with 9 hand made thank you cards ready to give out (who doesn't like to get a handmade thank you note?)

I can only take a maximum of 7 people, so first in best dressed with payment required to secure your spot. Please bring your own adhesive - it can be double sided tape, a tape runner, pritt glue, a glue stick ... whatever you prefer.

In November of last year I decided to sign up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I'd been making cards for a while and was impressed at how the co-ordination of their products, colours & designs made card making really quick and easy with the ability for me to be as creative (or not!) as I wanted.

Initially my intention was to just sign up as a hoby demo, getting my own stuff at a discount, but I was surprised at the ease at which I got bookings for workshops and how much I enjoyed doing them and introducing people to a new creative skill.

I've been meaning to start a blog for some time, and never get around to it, so for now I'm going to jsut post some samples here until I get around to setting it all up properly ...

This first card was inspired by one I saw on splitcoast - I can't remember who though

These next cards are made using the Fresh Cuts cards from the new 2009-2010 catalogue - they make card making very easy. The blue one is a CASE from Alisa Turner

These Love notes are using the Good Friend set again with a bit of embossing and dazzling diamonds. These were a hostess gift for a recent workshop I did. The purse template was provided by Makeesha at http://www.makeeshabyl.com.au/. The papers I've used for the font of the purse are not SU because I was still waiting on my new product order from the new catalogue, but you could make somethingvery similar using the starburst stamp from the Good Friend set - which is what I should have done except I was lazy!







This one is my design!! I made this for a customer requesting a card for a baby shower. The dots embossed on the background were done with my cuttlebug & this card features some watercolouring & a bit of crystal effects





And this one (again, my design) for a friend in Melbourne who recently had her first baby, a boy.



This was a card I made for a recent class I had at my home - the design was based on a card by someone - I just can't remember who!



And to finish off, some love notes using Fun Fast Notes and a bit of watercolouring and glitter - you can never have enough glitter!

I'm excited ...
